Currently, he is Head of Software Development at Mind the Byte, a bioinformatics company specializing in computational drug discovery using a pay-per-use SaaS platform (Software as a Service). Gary Wills is associate professor at the University of Southampton, He graduated from the University of Southampton with an Honours degree in Electromechanical Engineering, and then a PhD in Industrial Hypermedia systems. He is a Chartered Engineer, a member of the Institute of Engineering Technology and a Principal Fellow of the Higher Educational Academy. He is also a visiting associate professor at the University of Cape Town and a research professor at RLabs. Gary’s research focuses on secure information systems, this includes information assurance, cloud computing, IoT and dist ibuted ledgers. Gary is part of the Cyber Physical research group in the department of Electronics and Computer Science. Schahram Dustdar is Full Professor of Computer Science and head of The Distributed Systems Group at the TU Wien, Austria. From 2004-2010 he was also Honorary Professor of Information Systems at the Department of Computing Science at the University of Groningen (RuG), The Netherlands. From Dec 2016 until Jan 2017 he was a Visiting Professor at the University of Sevilla, Spain and from January until June 2017 he was a Visiting Professor at UC Berkeley, USA. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Services Computing, ACM Transactions on the Web, and ACM Transactions on Inter et Technology, and on the editorial board of IEEE Internet Computing and IEEE Computer. Dr. Hamido Fujita, is a professor at Iwate Prefectural University(IPU), Iwate, Japan. He is the director of Intelligent Software Laboratory. He worked at Tohoku University as visiting Professor on late eighties, and then joined University of Tokyo, RCAST as Associate Professor, and then he moved to Canada, as visiting Professor at the University of Montreal. Then after he joined Iwate Prefectural University (IPU), Faculty of Software and Information Science, Iwate, Japan, as professor and head of Information System Division. He is directing at IPU two laboratories, Intelligent Softwa e Laboratory and Cognitive Systems Laboratory. Also, he is the founder of SOMET organization. He has supervised Ph.D students jointly with University of Laval, University Technology, Syndey(UTS), He is also Professor at the University of Laval, Quebec, Canada supervising Graduate Studies students, he was a visiting Professor at the University of Paris_1, Sorbonne, 2003~2004. He worked as opponent for Stockholm University, Sweden co-supervised students. He also worked with UTS Sydney, Australia, co-supervised Ph.D students. He published books in IOS press. He has 17 years of industry experience in various capacities including software development, software performance engineering and solutions architecture. At IBM he has contributed to DB2 pureScale in the areas of high availability, scalability and engineered systems. He has also contributed to several industry leading benchmarks including the world’s first 100 TB Spark-SQL TPC-DS benchmarks.

Francisco Herrera

Francisco Herrera (SM'15) received his M.Sc. in Mathematics in 1988 and Ph.D. in Mathematics in 1991, both from the University of Granada, Spain. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Granada. He has been the supervisor of 40 Ph.D. students. He has published more than 300 journal papers that have received more than 50000 citations (Scholar Google, H-index 112). He is coauthor of the books "Genetic Fuzzy Systems" (World Scientific, 2001) and "Data Preprocessing in Data Mining" (Springer, 2015), "The 2-tupl Linguistic Model. Computing with Words in Decision Making" (Springer, 2015), "Multilabel Classification. Problem analysis, metrics and techniques" (Springer, 2016), "Multiple Instance Learning. Foundations and Algorithms" (Springer, 2016). He currently acts as Editor in Chief of the international journals "Information Fusion" (Elsevier) and “Progress in Artificial Intelligence (Springer). Mohammed Atiquzzaman

Mohammed Atiquzzaman (Senior Member, IEEE) obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Electronics from the University of Manchester (UK) in 1984 and 1987, respectively.  He currently holds the Edith J Kinney Gaylord Presidential professorship in the School of Computer Science at the University of Oklahoma.

Chung-Sheng Li is currently the director of the Commercial Systems Department, PI for the IBM Research Cloud Initiatives, and the executive sponsor of the Security 2.0 strategic initiative. He has been with IBM T.J. Watson Research Center since May 1990. His research interests include cloud computing, security and compliance, digital library and multimedia databases, knowledge discovery and data mining, and data center networking. He has authored or coauthored more than 130 journal and conference papers and received the best paper award from IEEE Transactions on Multimedia in 2003. H is both a member of IBM Academy of Technology and a Fellow of the IEEE. Anna Kobusinska received her M.Sc. and PhD degrees in computer science from Poznan University of Technology, in 1999 and 2006, respectively. She currently works as an Associate Professor at the Laboratory of Computing Systems, Institute of Computing Science, Poznan University of Technology, Poland. Her research interests include large-scale distributed systems, service-oriented and cloud computing. She focuses on distributed algorithms, Big Data analysis, replication and consistency models, as well as fault-tolerance, specifically checkpointing and rollback recovery techniques.
She has served and is currently serving as a PC member of several international conferences and workshops. She is also author and co-author of many publications in high quality peer reviewed international conferences and journals. She participated to various research projects supported by national organizations and by EC in collaboration with academic institutions and industrial partners.
